Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise is a national organisation which seeks to empower young people to harness their personal and business skills by connecting school and the world of work.

The Young Enterprise builds on eight key skills

  • Communication
  • Confidence
  • Financial Capability
  • Initiative
  • Organisation
  • Problem-Solving
  • Teamwork
  • Resilience

Berkhamsted & District Chamber of Commerce supports Young Enterprise in local schools and has worked with Berkhamsted School and Ashlyns in recent years.

We are actively involved in mentoring Young Enterprise business teams, driving forward uptake of the Young Enterprise by more schools and using our experience to judge and award Young Enterprise businesses to maintain progress.

Presentations by pupils at local schools to Chamber members have become an annual event at networking breakfasts and these have helped YE teams hone their presentation skills before participating in YE business competitions.

We financially support the Young Enterprise in the region through annual donations.

If you are a parent, please speak to your child’s school to see if they participate in Young Enterprise.
