Berkhamsted Food Bank – CALL OUT FOR ESSENTIAL ITEMS & DBS VOLUNTEERS
Thank you for the community minded spirit regarding supporting the vulnerable during these exceptional times.
Open Door (360 High Street) will be open this Saturday 21st and Monday 23rd March 2020 between 10am-1pm for those people who wish to donate any of the following items. Please only bring them if you have these items spare and do not go out especially to buy them, as this will only exacerbate the present ‘supermarket situation’.
Also note we are not seeking to divert resources from the existing good work of other organisations like Food Bank, Dens etc.
Items Required:
- Tinned Meat
- Tinned Fish
- Tinned Vegetables (inc. baked beans)
- Tinned Fruit
- Tinned Soup
- Biscuits
- Rice Puddings
- Porridge
- Pasta
- Cereal
- UHT Milk
- Tea Bags
- Coffee
- Cling Film/Kitchen Foil
- 10p Carrier Bags
- Toilet Rolls
- Kitchen Rolls
- Nappies (in all sizes)
- Sanitised Wipes
- Sanitary Products
Please only come during these times where you’ll be met at the door by a volunteer, so you do not have to enter the venue and please do not leave anything outside Open Door.
We do have a need for volunteers, to both help deliver these items to the vulnerable and in some other ways like Prescription Delivery, Posting Mail etc. However you must already have proof of a valid DBS certificate and go through our safeguarding requirements. If you would like to put yourself forward and for any other questions please email: do@ageukdacorum.org.uk
