Gaddesden Place is a dedicated Riding for the Disabled charity providing therapeutic riding and equine interactions to over 100 children and adults with a wide range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, stroke, learning difficulties, autism spectrum and sight & hearing impairment.

Established in 1974, our aim is to improve the lives of disabled children & adults through interaction with horses focusing on the RDA principle “It’s what you can do that counts”. The benefits of riding are wide-ranging: strengthening muscle tone, improving balance & co-ordination and increasing confidence & social skills.
